LE MARS, IOWA (May 6, 2024) – SmithCo Mfg., Inc., is inviting the public to attend an Open House Wednesday May 22 as part of its 30th Anniversary celebration. Festivities will take place from 3-6 p.m.

“We are proud to be the #1 manufacturer of side dump trailers for 30 years,” said Scott Lovell, SmithCo’s President and CEO. “We want people in the area to come celebrate with our employees and see our latest plant innovations as we prepare for future growth.”

Here are the highlights of what guests will see at the SmithCo event:
-    Plant Tours: It will be the public’s first chance to see SmithCo’s new robotic welders.
-    Food: The Plymouth County Cattlemen will be grilling burgers starting at 3:45 p.m.
-    Live Music
-    Legacy Trailers: Working trailers from SmithCo’s early days will be on display.
-    Kids Tent: Pedal Tractor Pull with prizes for all participants
                 Temporary tattoos and coloring contest
                 4:45 p.m. Magic Show presented by The MagicMan
-    Prize Drawings: We are giving away a 28-inch Blackstone Griddle, Yeti Cooler and more!

The plant address is 30902 C38 in Le Mars, but guests should enter from SmithCo’s east entrance just off Highway 75.
