Our Process
Trailer Design
We build trailers to fit any need, using a computerized plasma cutting system. Our 500-ton press brake forms 3/8” AR450 plate up to 20 feet in length, ensuring that every SmithCo-formed part stands up to even the toughest jobs.
Quality Control
All shot-blasted tubs and frames are twice inspected for weld quality and finish before painting. Our expert team knows what to look for and has the authority to make any necessary adjustments to produce the highest quality trailer possible.
Paint Booth
Tubs and frames are prepped and painted separately to ensure a complete, consistent finish. Our 55-foot, climate-controlled paint booth allows for optimal application, with painting completed before plumbing is installed for a more durable, polished result.
Final Inspection
The frame and tub are assembled, and each trailer is operated by our engineers to ensure that everything works properly. Tubs are dumped, valves operated, tarps cycled and lights checked—no component goes untested. The trailer is now ready to hit the road.
